World Book Night
Next month, Cowles Library will be participating as a “book distributor” for World Book Night. World Book Night (www.worldbooknight.org) is an annual celebration dedicated to spreading the love of reading, person to person. Each year on April 23, tens of thousands of people in the U.S. go out into their communities and give a total of half a million free World Book Night paperbacks to light and non-readers.
For all the eager individuals who registered to be a “book giver,” the library will be one of the designated venues where “givers” may come to pick up the books. The library will be hosting a World Book Night reception in the front foyer of the library on an evening prior to April 23rd. For a list of the books that will be distributed, please go to: http://www.us.worldbooknight.org/books/2013
