Cowles After-Hours

The Cowles Library After Hours Area opened on September 19th and was open Sundays through Fridays from 1am to 7:30am and 9am-noon on Sundays. The space became very popular during the building’s normal hours and was starting to gain popularity in the ‘after hours’ with an average use of 11 people per night. From Thanksgiving break through the end of the semester, the area was open 24/7. The average use the last 3 weeks was 15 people per night.

During the first semester, the area had over 870 entrances.

During Fall semester, After Hours Area was only open Sunday-Thursday 1am to 7:30am the next day. After receiving input from the Student Senate and Student body, the library has added additional hours from Friday 8pm through Saturday 10am for the Spring Semester.
